Exercise Your Right to Free Speech: Come to ASHKENAZ, this Wednesday, July 8, 2:00 - 4:00 pm to find out what the KPFA station board elections are all about. Election support staff will be there to help you to participate as a candidate or voter in these elections. KPFA needs you. Only 17% of the World’s population lives in a country with freedom of the press. So please exercise you right to have your ideas heard by making an effort to participate in these elections.
Nominations for KPFA’s Station Board open until July 15^th so there is still time for you to run. And if you don’t want to run, your participation as a voter is just as important. Come help candidates meet their requirements to run by signing their nomination petition. Only 15 signatures by listeners who are KPFA members are required, listener-members can sign as many petitions as want. This does not mean you are voting for a particular candidate, just helping them meet the requirements to run in the election.
Even if you are not a member of KPFA, you still have time to participate by becoming a member before July 15^th , come to the Ashkenaz this Wednesday, July 8, 2:00 - 4:00 pm to get help with membership requirements and participating in these elections.
